Nooks

i have small collections of  'things' around the place.
some are nice enough to share.
my fave in this stack?  the pears cyclopaedia from the early 1930's.
and the ball of hemp twine tucked in the corner.

i was recently asked to make a large vintage paper wreath and rather than the usual music sheets i chose to use pages (and pages) from old encyclopedias and vintage magazines, including 'radio television and hobbies' and 'the illustrated carpenter and builder' both from 1960 and both filled with wonderful advertisements and a whole heap of technical information.
there was even an ad for an in-car car phone!

thanks for popping by and please say hello!

little woo

i did kinder duty yesterday and when we came home we played. we coloured with clear ink pens with brush tips (lovely).

 pretty crowns for princesses

revelling in the warmth and kicking off our shoes.

 numbers

and then a snooze.  soft, lilac bunny cozied up under her chin.

a lovely day. a big sky day.
thank you for visiting.

big sky day

oh yes siree, it's a big sky day today.  the kind of day that lifts spirits and swells hearts.

and so much nicer for me than the last few that saw me huddled under the covers.

so i grabbed the camera and played today.  i also knicked some berries.  i think they're lilli pilli's.

and i stitched today too ... a little frippery.
a bag brooch.
made entirely from 'things' i found within a 1m radius in my little nook.

thanks for visiting and i hope you too have had a big sky day.

I'm home.

I am here, in my new home.

It feels fresh and new and optimistic.

Like the first crisp, unblemished, feint-lined page in a new spiral-bound notebook. My favourite kind.

I look forward to sharing life over here with you.

My hopes are that this home will be a peaceful place.  A place to dream a little, and to allow some of my dreams to come to life.

So pull up a patch of grass, get yourself comfy, you are welcome to stay as long as you wish.
